Mid-Atlantic actors, we want to see how you’ve developed your craft over the last year!

As 2017 comes to a close, we invite you to share a short monologue or scene (showcasing your self taping skills), and tell us about how you’ve grown as an actor this year. If you have never auditioned for us, please take this opportunity to introduce yourself. We want to meet you.

Please follow the instructions below to submit. For best consideration, please complete and submit tapes by 8:00am EST, Tuesday January 2, 2018.

TAPING INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACTORS:

Please submit one tape with the following parts. Please keep tape under 2.5 minutes.

SCENE: A tv/film monologue or tv/film scene of your choice that highlights your abilities as an actor. This should be no longer than 90 seconds.

SLATE:
Start with one quick full body shot (no more than 2 seconds) and then zoom into a head and shoulders shot.
Please state:

1. Name
2. Height
3. Location – Please clearly state your home base (city and state where you live)*

INTERVIEW: In no more than 30 seconds, tell us about how you’ve grown as an actor in 2017. This is a chance for us to get to know you, or get to know you better!

DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS

Please send tape in a secure and downloadable format. We suggest that you use an online service like iSelf Tape or WeTransfer when sending large files. We do NOT accept .wmv files, or .avi files, or YouTube links.

If you do NOT have a headshot and/or acting resume, please instead include a recent close-up picture (cellphone pic is fine) and any relevant information about yourself and your background.

Use the following SUBJECT HEADING for your materials email (personalized to YOU):

Your First and Last Name, City, State, VOC17
For example: John Smith, Arlington, VA, VOC17

TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS

Please keep in mind that production value of self tapes is important. We need to be able to see and hear you clearly. Pay attention to lighting and sound quality.

Shoot scene, slate & interview against a solid ­colored backdrop or wall.

Please use head and shoulders framing (medium shot) for scene.

Files should be titled “Firstname Lastname VOC17”
