arvold.casting is seeking actors local to Athens, Georgia for the feature film THE GIANT.  Real people as well as those with film/theatrical experience are encouraged to submit!

SEEKING:

[LAUREN] 18+ to play 17 years old, Caucasian, Lauren is another member of Charlotte’s circle of graduating seniors. Deep in her heart, Lauren wonders if her friendship with Charlotte and Olivia is only one of circumstance, but she’s is committed as any one else to making the most of her summer.

[TAYLOR] Male, 18+ to play 17 years old, any ethnicity, Taylor is best buddies with Will, and, separately, Mikey, and he’s infatuated with Olivia. Another member of Charlotte’s circle of graduating seniors, he’s an athlete and good looking and maybe that’s served him well so far, but he has no real idea what he wants to do with his life now that school’s over…

[MIKE] Male, 18+ to play 17 years old, any ethnicity, muscular and hard-drinking, Mike played football with Taylor and that’s about all they really have in common. But their on-field fraternity extends off the field and sometimes results in mutually encouraged destructive behavior, even if Mike is a good kid at heart.

[DAPHNE BELL] Caucasian, Blonde and petite, maybe 19 or 20 years old, Daphne bears a striking resemblance to Charlotte. Daphne is seen on the last night of her life, hanging out with her boyfriend Brady. She is dazed and in shock after their car hits a deer, only the latest shock to her system after Brady’s sudden and unplanned enlistment in the military.

[MOTHER] Caucasian, First seen in her 30s, when Charlotte is only 3, she is Charlotte’s mother, and she is a chronic depressive who dotes on her daughter, but fears that she will not be able to properly prepare her child for this world. Having already tried and failed to slash her wrists, Mother finally succeeds in hanging herself from an oak tree outside, when Charlotte is a sensitive and impressionable 16 year old girl. She appears in Charlotte’s memories and in her imagination.

[JUSTINE CORGAN] 18+ to play 17 years old, Caucasian, A girl with blonde cornrows, she is briefly seen riding in a pickup truck with a shadowy man whose face is unseen, Justine is later revealed to be the third victim of the predatory serial killer in the vicinity.
