Total Preparation is a class that offers each actor personal, in-depth co-instruction and practical, professional advice from Richard Warner, acting coach, and Erica Arvold, CSA, casting director, on the entire audition process. The class specifically addresses film auditions and is for adult actors (college-level and above). 


Features of the class include: 

• script analysis


• character creation


• tips on improving each individual’s audition technique


• on-camera practice in a simulated professional audition session


• coaching to connect each actor to the emotional life of a film character


• insight into the casting process

This class offers actors the unique chance to be coached by an experienced casting director and an acting coach at the same time. This seldom, if ever, happens in LA or NYC!  Actors will learn what is needed to get a call back and also how to create exciting, original and personal work.

Richard and Erica will work together and with the actors to create the conditions to achieve a successful reading.  The class will work outside in and inside out simultaneously.  The first half of class will be discussion-based, and the second half will be intensive and practical–please come prepared to work!

THIS CLASS IS NOT AN AUDITION; while we encourage you to bring your materials for review, discussion and feedback, we will not be receiving any for submission to current projects.  Erica will be using her experience solely to educate participants.
